The Charlotte Maxeke Centre.
We have partnered with the University of Pretoria to create a Charlotte Maxeke Centre. A research platform linking key institutions (Stats SA, Government Monitoring & Reporting in the Presidency) to promote research and policy support to enable economic and social empowerment of Women in South Africa and across the continent.
The Charlotte Maxeke and Research Centre at The University of Pretoria is involved and mentioned in the African Union Commission Africa Gender Score Card 2016, supports the South African Department of Women in providing technical support for coordinating National Dialogues on Violence Against Women, participates in the UN Women & UNECA Forum which focuses on the role of African universities in the economic empowerment of Women and achievement of the 2030 UN sustainable development goals and further, the AU 2063 agenda.
